Rash wins more bowling gold in Colombia before heading home to Anchorage

One week, South America. The next, Alaska.

Globetrotting bowler Sean Rash is headed home, a trip that comes a few days after a journey to Cali, Colombia, where he won two gold medals at the Pan American Bowling Confederation Adult Championships.

Rash, a Dimond High graduate, returns home on a roll.

An 11-year veteran of the Professional Bowlers Association tour, Rash won his 10th and 11th career titles on back-to-back days last weekend in Michigan.

He left Detroit on Sunday night after winning the Detroit Open and was in South American some 14 hours later. He reached the bowling alley in Cali just in time for Monday's men's singles competition.

He won the gold medal in that event with a PABCON record of 1,482, and a couple of days later he helped Team USA claim the gold medal in the team competition.

Rash's travels will next bring him to Anchorage, where he is scheduled to participate in a two-day event at JBER's Polar Bowl on Wednesday and Thursday.

Rash and fellow PBA Tour bowler Parker Bohn will compete in a Pro-Am on Wednesday at JBER, where they'll be part of an instructional camp the next afternoon.
