Anchorage poker pro cashes in big again — nearly $56,000 this time

Poker pro Adam Hendrix of Anchorage, who earlier this week bagged nearly $138,000 with a runner-up finish in a World Series of Poker event, has added some serious layers to his bankroll.

Hendrix, 25, finished third in a No-Limit Hold 'em event in the Phamous Poker Series Goliath tournament this week in Las Vegas to earn $55,984.

Combined with the $137,992 he earned for his runner-up finish in a Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better event in the WSOP, Hendrix has earned $193,886 in less than a week.

"It is very insane," Hendrix said by text. "I hope it doesn't stop."

Hendrix, who resides in Washington, D.C., and still has family in Anchorage, earlier this year quit his job as a software engineer to play poker full-time.
