The Alaska Aces used big nights from Alexandre Imbeault and Colin Hemingway to run their ECHL-best unbeaten streak to nine games with Wednesday's 6-3 victory over the Victoria Salmon Kings in British Columbia.
Imbeault, a second-year center, matched his career high as a pro with a four-point effort -- one goal and three assists. Hemingway bagged his third three-point night of the season with two goals and a helper.
The league-leading Aces (11-2-1) have gone 8-0-1 in their last nine hockey games. They are off to their best 14-game start in franchise history.
Aces defenseman Matt Shasby, who leads the league's blueliners in points, scored a goal for the fourth straight game and added two assists. And Aces winger Cam Keith ran his points streak to nine games with one goal and one assist, which marked his fifth straight two-point game.
Former Aces center Olivier Filion scored two goals for Victoria and assisted on its other goal.
Aces goaltender Jean-Philippe Lamoureux stopped 32 shots.
The teams meet against in Victoria on Friday and Saturday nights.
