The Alaska Aces' nine-game ECHL unbeaten streak came to an end Friday night when the Victoria Salmon Kings beat them 3-1 in British Columbia.
The Aces (11-3-1) trailed 2-0 before winger Cam Keith struck for his fourth goal midway through the third period. That extended his points streak to 10 games. Victoria's Wes Goldie added an empty-netter.
The Aces, reduced by call-ups to the American Hockey League, were undermanned. They dressed 14 skaters, two shy of the league maximum, and that included defenseman Bryan Miller playing the wing.
Goaltender Chris Holt made his season debut for the Aces, playing for the first time since winning an AHL game on Oct. 26. He made 36 saves.
