Bucs snap tie in 13th to beat Pilots

Robert Taylor’s two-run double in the top of the 13th inning capped a four-run rally for the Anchorage Bucs in a 6-2 victory over the Anchorage Glacier Pilots at Mulcahy Stadium late Thursday night.

Story tools

Jason Castro was credited with the game-winning RBI after drawing a bases-loaded walk, snapping a 2-2 tie. Bryan Petersen added a sacrifice fly before Taylor doubled. All the damage came off Pilots right-hander Joey Williamson, who was pitching his fourth inning of relief.

The Bucs, who outhit the Pilots 13-8, tied the game in the eighth inning. Dustin Hood tripled and scored on Chais Fuller’s sac fly on a controversial play at the plate.

The Pilots took a 2-1 lead in the fifth inning on Chase D’Arnaud’s two-run triple. D’Arnaud finished with three hits.

The teams play again tonight at 7 p.m. before wrapping up the three-game series Saturday at 2 p.m.
