-- Tied in the bottom of the ninth inning with bases loaded, the Glacier Pilots' Jason Coats was awarded a walk after the catcher's interference, bringing Drew Heid across the plate for the 7-6 victory over the Peninsula Oilers.

The Oilers chipped away at the Pilots' 5-0 lead after the third inning, scoring four runs in the sixth and one in the seventh to tie the game, then Casey McCollum earned a run in the eighth to give the Pilots a 6-5 lead.

Pitcher D.J. Mauldin earned his first win of the season as the Pilots tied the Anchorage Bucs for first in the ABL standings.

-- For the second night in a row, the Anchorage Bucs earned a win with a bases-loaded walk-off walk, this time defeating the Lake Erie Monarchs 9-8 after Eddie Young brought in the winner.

Colin Cloud picked up the win for the Bucs, who improved to 8-3 overall. The Monarchs slipped to 3-6 in their Alaskan appearance.

-- After coming back from a four-run deficit after the third inning, the Mat-Su Miners defeated Athletes in Action 7-4 in a league game at Hermon Brothers Field.

Centerfielder Nick Cox went 2 for 3 and scored one run for the Miners, who improved to 3-1 in the ABL and 6-1 overall.

-- The Fairbanks Goldpanners came within one run of the Oregon Black Sox but fell 5-2 Friday at Growden Memorial Park.

Panners pitcher Mike McCarthy took the loss after allowing four runs and six hits, registering six strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings.
