-- Winning pitcher Tom Briner threw for three innings, giving up four hits and striking out two batters to propel the Peninsula Oilers to a 3-1 victory over the Anchorage Bucs in the first game of Sunday's double-header at Mulcahy Stadium.
The Oilers dominated in the fifth inning with three infield hits, one single and three stolen bases.
-- Jason Mitchell pitched seven innings of shutout ball, giving up four hits to lead the Anchorage Glacier Pilots to a 10-3 league victory over the Mat-Su Miners on Sunday at Hermon Brothers Field.
Josh Meagher hit a seventh-inning two-run homer for the Pilots, and teammates Drew Heid and Casey McCollum each had three hits.
-- Three Pilots combined for 17 strikeouts Saturday, when the Pilots beat the Peninsula Oilers 1-0 at Mulcahy Stadium.
Starting pitcher Ryan Carpenter threw for six innings, giving up one hit and striking out 11 batters.
Jeff Klein furnished a single in the bottom of the 11th inning for the game-winner.
