AROUND THE HORN
-- The Peninsula Oilers blanked the Pilots 5-0 in the late game to sweep Saturday's doubleheader in Kenai, claiming a 3-1 edge in the four-game series. The loss was third straight and the fifth in six games for the Pilots, who took Sunday off and will try to rebound tonight at home against the rival Goldpanners.
-- The Goldpanners survived a late rally by Athletes In Action and used Ryan McIntyre's RBI single in the seventh for an insurance run in an 8-6 win in the nightcap of a Saturday doubleheader sweep. Fairbanks led 7-1 after four innings, but AIA roared back with a five-run fifth.
