The Anchorage Bucs scored three runs with two outs in the seventh inning to break a 2-2 tie and go on to a 6-2 win over the Goldpanners on Wednesday at Mulcahy Stadium.

Trailing 2-1 in the sixth, Erik Wetzel tied the game with an RBI single.

With two on and two out in the seventh, Gabe Jacobo singled in the game-winning run. The Bucs scored a second run on the play thanks to a Goldpanners error.

Wetzel picked up another RBI to complete the three-run seventh. He was 3 for 4 with a stolen base.

Cheng-Chang Lee picked up the win, going 7 2/3 and allowing nine hits. Mitch Bialosky got the final four outs for the save.

Miners 3, Oilers 0

Alex Rivers got the better of a pitcher's duel with Andre Lamontagne, throwing seven innings of shutout ball for the win in Palmer.

Lamontagne allowed one run in six innings before the Oilers gave up two unearned runs in the eighth.

Joe Ercolano's RBI double broke the scoreless tie in the fifth inning.

Nate Garcia worked the ninth for the save.

Fire 8, Pilots 5

Kyle Matkaitis settled down after allowing three runs in the first inning, retiring 10 straight at one point, to pace the Fire to a win in Fairbanks.

After the Glacier Pilots jumped ahead 3-0, the Fire scored the next seven runs -- five in the second inning -- to take a 7-3 lead.

Joel Staples went 4 for 5 with four RBIs and P.K. Keller scored three runs for the Fire.

Anchorage's Adam Fine took the loss. Mike Diaz hit a solo home run for the Pilots.
