Arnold, Macleod lead state senior amateur

William Arnold fired a 72 on Saturday during the second round of the state senior amateur at Chena Bend Golf Course in Fairbanks to take the lead in the men's championship flight going into Sunday.

Arnold's two-day total of 151 puts him three strokes ahead of Brad Pitzer and Rick Boyles, who are tied for second.

Susie Macleod shot a 78 to give her a two-day total of 159 and the lead in the women's championship flight. Macleod, the lone woman to break 80 so far, holds an eight-stroke lead over Teresa Fisher.
