Getting a big boost from its defense, Dimond's flag football team beat East 21-6 Wednesday to earn its 38th consecutive victory.
Elizabeth Goodrum picked off two passes and Neno Martinez returned an interception 20 yards for a touchdown in the Cook Inlet Conference game at Dimond. Celine Abello contributed seven pulls to keep East off-balance.
The Dimond offense provided two touchdowns -- Tiffany Jackson, who rushed for 118 yards on 12 carries, bolted 58 yards for a touchdown, and Nikki Forrey, who gained 55 yards on 11 carries, rushed two yards for a score.
