Brewington was previously on the Canadian National team, primarily skiing the downhill and super-G.

"He is a tremendously hard worker and will fit in perfectly with the group we have," UAA alpine coach Sparky Anderson said in a press release. "I'm excited to see where he can go with his slalom and giant slalom."

Last year, Brewington was one of 15 skiers named to the 2008-09 Canadian Alpine Ski Team Development Group.
