Alex Young scored at 1:48 of overtime to give the Alaska Avalanche the win Saturday night at Menard Memorial Arena in Wasilla.

Alaska's Kyle Pichler forced the extra session by scoring with 28 seconds left in regulation with the goalie pulled for an extra attacker.

Kent Detlefsen gave the Avs a 1-0 lead in the first period, but goals from Austin Block and Randen Hill put Fairbanks on top.
