The race is more than eight months away, but mushers can sign up for the 38th Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race beginning 9:30 a.m. Saturday at race headquarters, Mile 2.2 of Knik Road in Wasilla.
A general membership meeting begins at 10 a.m., with election results for the trail committee's board of directors expected to be announced.
A picnic feting this year's race volunteers starts at noon.
