Mansfield rallies Bartlett to victory

Kyle Mansfield capped a four-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning Wednesday to lift the Bartlett baseball team to a 5-4 victory over Eagle River at Kosinski Fields.

Juneau's Flynn named soccer player of the year

Colin Flynn of Juneau-Douglas High was named the Gatorade Alaska Boys Soccer Player of the Year on Tuesday. Flynn, a 5-foot-11 senior midfielder, had 16 goals and nine assists in helping the Crimson Bears to an undefeated season through Monday.

Alaska gymnast pulls in silver, two bronzes at nationals

Anchorage's Amy Winczura capped her gymnastics season with a strong showing at the Level 9 Senior C division at Western Nationals in St. Louis on Sunday. Level 9 gymnasts are just two steps below Elite level or Olympic-caliber competitors.
