Dimond staged an American Legion doubleheader sweep of Kenai thanks to Colton Lauwers' big bat in baseball action Saturday at Kosinski Fields.
Lauwers hit a sixth-inning grand slam over the left field fence as the Lynx easily defeated Kenai 10-3 in the opener. Third-baseman Nolan Olson went 2 for 4, scored one run and produced two RBIs for the Lynx in the league game.
In the second game, Lauwers went 4 for 4, scored twice, and furnished two RBIs to help Dimond to a 12-2 victory that did not count as a league game.
The Lynx are 2-2 overall and 1-2 in league play.

West sweeps Bartlett
West had little trouble sweeping Bartlett in a doubleheader Saturday at Kosinski Fields.
Andrew Mezich went 3 for 5 with three runs and five RBIs and Brady Grisham added two runs and three RBIs to lead West to a 20-9 domination in the first game.
Bartlett's Cade Scott went 3 for 4, scored once, and added a pair of RBIs.
The Eagles trounced the Golden Bears in the second game as well, earning a 14-4 league victory. Sean Muller threw a complete game for West, and Kyle Cleary and Brady Grisham each scored three runs.
On Friday, Cleary came into the game against Eagle River with two outs in the fifth inning and gave up no hits and struck out six batters in the rest of the game to help West (3-4) edge Eagle River 17-16.

Eagle River, Service split doubleheader
Jim Reeves drove in Eagle River's winning run in the tenth inning, leading the Wolves to a 5-4 legion victory over Service on Saturday at Loretta French Fields.
Brandon Metzel threw nine innings and got 21 of 27 outs on fly balls for the Wolves (3-4).
The Cougars rallied to win the second game 14-6.
Service's Bryan Beard went 2 for 4 and scored twice in the bottom of the sixth with a triple and single.
