Mattson, who competed for West Valley High in Fairbanks, was the first wrestler in Alaska to win four state titles. Rabinowitz of West Valley was a cross-country skiing and running champion in the early 1980s and the first winner of the Alaska Sportsperson of the Year award. And Tosi, of East High, excelled in both football and basketball.

Also inducted was coach Lynn Roumagoux, the former Dimond High running and skiing coach who guided a slew of state champion teams and individuals, many of whom went on to coach.

Also inducted were: Peter Hilts (Susan B. English, Seldovia); Michael More (West, Anchorage); Myra Slwooko Harris (Frank A. Degnan, Unalakleet and Walter Northway, Northway); Dan Eide (Valdez); Richard McCormick (Douglas, Lathrop, Fairbanks, Nome-Beltz and Wrangell); Stan Smith (Spenard Builders Supply); and John T. Jones, Jr. (basketball official, Anchorage).
