Kyle Pichler scored two goals in the game's first 6 minutes and 20 seconds to give the Alaska Avalanche a 2-0 lead, but the Texas Tornado overwhelmed the Avs after that Thursday in Frisco, Texas.

Jeremiah Dargis and Tyler Currier also scored for Alaska, which has now lost the first five games of its nine-game road trip through Texas and Kansas. The Avs have allowed at least five goals in each game.
