Peter Kavaya's second goal of the game 41 seconds into overtime completed the Ice Dogs' rally from a 3-1 third-period deficit in Texas.
Luke Salazar's hat trick had given the Wildcats a two-goal advantage heading to the final period. Kavaya made it 3-2 midway through, and Eric Kraft tied it with 45 seconds to go in regulation.
Drew Darwitz had a first-period tally for Fairbanks.
