Tyler Currier, Alex Young and Michael McCurtain scored for Alaska, which held a 3-2 lead entering the third period.

But Mikael Lickteig scored twice in the third and Brandon Bahnemann also tallied for Alexandria.

The loss put a serious kink in Alaska's playoff hopes. With five games left in the regular season, Alaska is nine points back of Texas for the final playoff spot in the North American Hockey League's south division. Alaska hosts Alexandria again tonight, then travels to Fairbanks twice this month for four more games.
