Six of UAA's selections are repeat honorees, while the remaining four are all first-time award winners. Senior Michael Madrid (3.67, English) and senior Jessica Houston (3.51, physical education) garnered the honor for the third time overall, while junior Mick Boyle (3.46, economics), junior David Kiplagat (3.28, finance), junior Cornelious Sigei (3.34, accounting) and junior Laura Carr (3.72, education/languages) received the accolade for the second time.

The team recognizes athletes who have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher, are in their second year of competition and qualified for the GNAC Championships.
