Mountain State University and former Bartlett High softball standout Jenny Baker lost 1-0 to Tennessee Wesleyan in the opening round of the Region XII Tournament on Wednesday.
Mountain State advanced to the NAIA regionals after winning the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular-season title and finishing second in the conference tournament.
On the season, Baker is batting .345 with five doubles, three triples and one home run. She also scored 21 runs on 22 base hits.
Mountain State continues play in the NAIA regionals today against Milligan College.
