The Alaska Youth Basketball Association girls high school select team beat Simi Valley, Calif., 52-51 in overtime Sunday at the End of the Oregon Trail All-Star Tournament in Oregon City, Ore.

Colony's Alex Coon scored a team-high 23 points and added eight rebounds for AYBA. Colony's Allie Grazulis added eight points and six rebounds.
Later in the day, however, AYBA fell 43-37 in an exhibition game against Got Game of California. Kaitlyn Klapperich led AYBA with 10 points and made all of her free throws.
On Monday, the Winston-Salem Steelers beat AYBA 53-35. Soldotna's Karen Senette paced AYBA with nine points.
The summer traveling team, coached by former East High girls coach Dorena Bingham, continues tournament action this morning.
