George Attla, the legendary sprint musher from Huslia, will headline a ceremony this afternoon establishing a permanent display for the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame.
Attla, one of the first people enshrined in the Hall of Fame, will cut the ribbon at a 3 p.m. ceremony at the Anchorage airport. The display is located in the curving tiled corridor on the first floor and can be found by turning left after entering the airport through the parking garage.
The public is welcome to attend the ceremony, which will also feature two-time Olympic skier Kikkan Randall.
