West won 12 matches to grab the lead after the quarterfinals of the Cook Inlet Conference Tournament Friday at The Alaska Club North.

After a first-round bye, West's No. 1 boys singles player David Cotton blanked Nishant Ambasht of Eagle River 6-0, 6-0 to advance to today's semifinals, where he will face Kyle Cox of East.

First-seeded Emma Lewis of South defeated Dimond's Mimi Ahn 6-1, 6-0 at girls No. 1 singles.

Lewis will face Michelle Taylor of East in the semifinal.

The tournament ends today at The Alaska Club North.
