Another Fairbanks team feasted on four-time defending state champion South as North Pole beat the visiting Wolverines at Polar Ice Center.
The Wolverines took a 2-2 tie into the second period on goals from Kyle Shepherd and Brad Schierhorn.
But Hank Parra's back-to-back goals sealed North Pole's win to join Lathrop as the only non-Anchorage teams to beat the Wolverines (2-3-0).

Ben Henne registered a hat trick Thursday to help West Valley beat visiting Eagle River in overtime at the Big Dipper in Fairbanks.
Henne scored his second goal of the night with about two minutes left in regulation to force overtime, then scored the game winner about two minutes into the extra period.
Eagle River scorers were not provided.
