Former West High basketball player Ramon Harris was released from the University of Kentucky's Chandler Hospital this afternoon.
Harris and his Kentucky teammate Michael Porter collided during Wednesday night's 103-61 victory over against Lamar, chasing a loose ball.
Harris suffered a blow to the back of his head and lay on the court moaning in pain before being taken off on a stretcher. He was alert and had movement in his extremities upon arriving at the hospital, where he was kept overnight for observation.
Porter received 10 stitches to a laceration over his left eye.
University of Kentucky spokesman DeWayne Peevy said all of Harris' test results at the hospital have been normal.
