UAA's Alexandra Parker skied to a first-place slalom finish in the first day of the Seawolf Invitational at Alyeska on Thursday.
She finished the course in 1 minute, 39.99 seconds, leading the UAA women to a first-place team score.
Parker's victory marks the first time a UAA Alpine skier has won an invitational since the 2007 season.
University of Colorado's Katie Hartman (1:40.15) and Caroline Dordh (1:41.20) came in second and third, respectively, while UAA's Lacy Saugstad (1:41.63) claimed fourth.
On the men's side, Nick Cohee of the University of Utah won the giant slalom in 1:43.69.
The Seawolves were led by Jonathan Hverven who came in seventh in 1:44.45.
UAA Invitational races will be held today at the Alyeska Ski Resort with the women's giant slalom at 10 a.m. followed by the men's slalom.
Nordic 5/10-K classical races are scheduled for 11 a.m. at Kincaid Park.
