VIDEO: Wiping out at the 2014 Fur Rondy Big Air Demo

The Fur Rendezvous Big Air Demo is an annual showcase for young snowboarders and skiers to demonstrate their jump style and skills as they attempt to jump over Second Avenue in downtown Anchorage. Unfortunately, the angle of the drop that starts the run has been so steep in recent years that many jumpers don't even make it past the bottom of the drop, let alone to the point that they could actually attain the "big air" touted in the event's name.

Thousands of spectators painfully watched as, one by one, riders stood at the top of the ramp assessing the drop and then ultimately crashing anyway.
