Becky and William Hamilton
Becky and William Hamilton of Ninilchik will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary Feb. 7. They plan to go on a Mediterranean cruise in May and will be joined by John and Beverly McCleary and Larry and Maribel Nakata.
Becky and Bill were married Feb. 7, 1963, in Eau Claire, Wis. Their three sons, James, Robert and Daniel, were born in Eau Claire; James and Robert are of Anchorage, and Daniel is stationed with the Army in Fort Campbell, Ky.
The family left Wisconsin in 1970, driving a converted school bus up the Alaska Highway. It took them 11 days to get through Canada due to vehicle problems. In Anchorage, Bill and Becky set up housekeeping in Muldoon. They managed the Toppers gas station on the corner of Old Seward Highway and Northern Lights Boulevard before moving to Talkeetna in 1977. Becky went to work for Alascom in 1978 and retired in 2004. Bill is self-employed as Loose Change Coin Co.
Their sons graduated from Susitna Valley High School, and in 1989, Bill and Becky returned to Anchorage. They moved to Ninilchik in 2004.
The Hamiltons have seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Shelli Stanton-Ross and Greg Ross
Shelli Stanton and Greg Ross were married Oct. 20 at Holy Family Cathedral. Archbishop Schweitz presided.
The couple first met in a class at Service High School and were reacquainted in 2004 when a close mutual friend reintroduced them.
Shelli is the daughter of Robert and Charlene Stanton of Anchorage. She is a 1987 graduate of Service High School. Shelli graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a bachelor's degree in marketing in 1995 and obtained a master's degree in marketing in 2002. Shelli is a convention sales manager for the Anchorage Convention and Visitors Bureau. She enjoys sports, camping and the outdoors. Shelli has a son, Ryan, and a daughter, Trysten.
Greg is the son of Wayne and Barbara Ross of Anchorage. He is a 1988 graduate of Service High School. Greg received a bachelor's degree in criminology from Marquette University in 1992 and a master's in teaching from UAA in 1998. Greg is a history teacher at Mears Middle School and an assistant coach for hockey and track. He is an avid hunter and enjoys gun collecting. Greg has a son, Obie.
A reception at the Kincaid Park chalet followed the afternoon ceremony. Family and friends traveled from California, Maryland, Virginia, Washington and around Alaska.

Jennifer and Troy Corwin
Jennifer Lynn DeMarco and Troy Grant Corwin were married Nov. 2 at Platinum Jaxx in Anchorage.
"It happened just like in the movies," the couple wrote. "Our eyes met across a crowded room at Platinum Jaxx. We kissed. We knew this was the beginning of a new life together forever."
Jennifer is the daughter of Boyd and Myrna Meldrum of Ivins, Utah. She attended the University of Alaska Anchorage and graduated in 2006. Jennifer is a registered nurse working at Dr. Carolyn Merkouris' office. She is pursuing a master's degree in women's health. Jennifer has two children, Whitney and AJ DeMarco.
Troy is the son of Bruce Corwin of Sacramento, Calif., and Rita Corwin of Peters Creek. He is a longtime Alaskan and graduated from Service High School in 1991. Troy graduated from the Travel Academy and is a travel technician for the state of Alaska. He has two children, Ezra and Elijah Corwin.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Both love to travel and are planning many vacations.

Hanna and Michael Crezee
Hanna D. Torkelson and Michael Ryan Crezee were married Dec. 28 at Solid Rock Lodge in Soldotna.
Hanna and Ryan have known each other since middle school. They were re-introduced through mutual friends after his return from Iraq.
Hanna is the daughter of Helen J. Silberling of Ketchikan and the late Robert Berson. After graduating from high school, Hanna attended the University of Alaska Anchorage, where she studied photography and French. Hanna spent a semester attending the University of Paris Sorbonne. After returning home, she worked for the Anchorage School District in the speech and language department.
Ryan is the son of Loma Wall of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Lowell Crezee of Unalaska. He graduated from Soldotna High School and attended UAA. He worked fighting fires for the state. Ryan joined the Army Special Forces and has served in Iraq. He and Hanna will be leaving for Fort Bragg, N.C.
During the evening candlelight ceremony, the couple were surrounded by family and friends. Hanna's close friend Mary Sullivan officiated. The reception followed at the lodge. A cruise to the Bahamas is planned.

Jeaneen and Tommy McWilliams
Jeaneen Mary Gill and Tommy Kent McWilliams were married Jan. 5 in New York City. Guests traveled from Alaska, Texas, California, New Jersey and Virginia for their special day. The wedding and reception were held at Trio Restaurant in the heart of Manhattan. While being serenaded by a concert pianist, guests sipped champagne and enjoyed a five-course meal.
With dreams of becoming a bush pilot, Tommy came to Alaska in 1994 and has been a captain for Era Aviation for 13 years. After backpacking through Europe, Asia, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand in 1995, Jeaneen came to Alaska in 1996. She is the corporate communications manager for Alaska Communications Systems, where she has worked for seven years.
Jeaneen and Tommy are expecting their first child in April and plan to name her Jeanne Marie, after Jeaneen's mother, who died of breast cancer in 2003.
The couple enjoy spending time at their cabin in Petersville and look forward to raising their daughter in Alaska. "I can't wait to teach our daughter how to fish, snowmachine and build a snowman," Tommy wrote.

Kaile Kadow and Lucas Meyers
Kaile Elizabeth Kadow and Lucas Paul Meyers, both of Anchorage, will marry April 12 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, with a reception to follow at the Millennium Alaskan Hotel.
Kaile is the daughter of Kenn and Laurie Kadow of Anchorage. She is a 2005 graduate of West High School and is office manager at Immersive Video Solutions.
Luke is the son of Michael Meyers and Laurie Balchen of Anchorage. He is a 2003 graduate of West High School and works for CH2MHill on their pipeline maintenance crew on the North Slope.
The couple met and became friends while sharing a locker in high school in 2001. They began dating in 2004 when they reconnected at a party through mutual friends, and Luke proposed on Christmas Day, 2006. They enjoy snowmachining, watching movies and spending time with their son, Wyatt, dogs Tut, Drake and Gertie and cat Skeeter.

Kaleinani Brooks and Philip Rupp
Kaleinani Shigeyo Brooks and Philip Daniel Rupp, both of Eagle River, will marry June 7 at Paradise Cove on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.
Kalei is the daughter of Stuart and Charlene Brooks of Eagle River and Aiea, Hawaii. She graduated from Chugiak High School and earned bachelor's degrees in journalism and Spanish from the University of Oregon. Kalei completed a master's degree in journalism at Northwestern University and is spokeswoman for the Alaska National Guard. She enjoys traveling, camping and cheering on the Ducks football and basketball teams.
Phil is the son of Timothy and Nancy Rupp of Eagle River. He is a graduate of Chugiak High School. Phil attended Southwestern Oregon Community College but grew tired of the rain so continued his studies in welding technology at the University of Alaska Anchorage. He works for the Municipality of Anchorage and enjoys hunting, trapping and fishing.
In July, after they had dated for more than two years, Phil proposed on bended knee on a beach in Mexico.

Ashley Bagley and Michael Straw
Ashley Bagley and Michael Straw, both of Eagle River, will marry June 14 at Settlers Bay Golf Course.
Ashley is the daughter of Scott Bagley of Wasilla and Karen Hickel of Anchorage. She graduated from Service High School in 1999 and from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2005 with a degree in elementary education. Ashley is a second-grade teacher in Anchorage. She enjoys the outdoors, working with children and spending time with friends and family.
Michael is the son of Joseph and Pamela Straw of Anchorage. He graduated from Service High School in 1996. Michael is a journeyman power lineman. He enjoys outdoor activities including snowmachining, skiing and fishing.
The couple met through mutual friends while camping in Hope. They dated for four years before Michael proposed March 15.

Megan Ossiander and Myles Gobeille
Eagle River residents Megan Ossiander and Myles Gobeille will marry July 11 at First Presbyterian Church in Anchorage.
Megan is the daughter of Jay and Debbie Ossiander. She is a 1999 graduate of Chugiak High School. Megan graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 2003 with degrees in math and physics and teaches at the University of Alaska Anchorage. She is a cellist in the Anchorage Civic Orchestra.
Myles grew up in Mifflintown, Pa. He is the son of Russ and Betty Gobeille. Myles graduated from Lehigh University in 2003 with a degree in geology and does environmental consulting at ENSR-AECOM. Myles sings in the Anchorage Concert Chorus.
Megan met Myles when she was playing her cello at a mutual friend's wedding in Seattle. They maintained a long-distance relationship for more than a year. Myles then moved to Alaska to be near Megan. He proposed by giving Megan a pendant with the diamond from his great-grandmother's wedding ring.

Junko Kanagawa and James Moen Jr.
Junko Kanagawa and James A. Moen Jr., both of Tokyo, will marry July 20 at the Ogasawara-Hakusyaku-tei villa in Tokyo in a Catholic ceremony. A garden wedding is planned.
Junko is the daughter of Tsuginari and Akemi Kanagawa of Funabashi, Japan. She graduated from Sophia University in Tokyo in 2006 with a degree in sociology. Junko works for the advertising company I&S/BBDO as an account executive in Tokyo.
James is the son of Anne Moen of Eagle River and the late James A. Moen Sr. He graduated from Soldotna High School in 1998 and earned a degree in political science from Sophia University and a degree in economics from Temple University in Japan. James works in the Tokyo office of Lehman Brothers as an internal auditor.
The couple met at a new-student social at Sophia University in 2002. They plan to live in the Toyosu area of Tokyo.
