Familiar face will lead new Valley football team
Former Alaska Wild coach Hans Deemer on Monday said he left the Wild so he could focus on a dream -- starting an Indoor Football League franchise closer to his home in the Valley.

Indoor football is coming to Wasilla next year. Hans Deemer, former coach of the Alaska Wild, an indoor football team that began in Anchorage in 2007, heads up the Arctic Predators, which will be housed in the Menard Sports Center.
