Alaska Center for Environment merging with three other groups

The Alaska Center for the Environment (ACE) has announced its plan to join forces with the Alaska Conservation Alliance (ACA), Alaska Youth for Environmental Action (AYEA) and Alaska Conservation Voters (ACV), in order to enhance its environmental outreach, influence and impact in the state of Alaska.

According to the ACE's website:

The initial merger of ACE with ACA and AYEA will allow the organizations to collaborate and pool their resources "under one roof" while working in concert toward similar goals. Once ACE, ACA and AYEA come together, a second merger will take place, this time with ACV, a 501c4 lobbing organization. The new mega organization, according to ACE, will be a more "effective grassroots muscle."

ACE expects the merger to be officially complete sometime in mid-November. No word yet on what the new organization will be called.
