According to the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, the Alaska Legislature has created a new website to help inform the Alaskan public. "Understanding Alaska's Budget" is designed to give Alaskans information and encourage and input from residents. Or so the Legislature hopes.

The website features easy-to-read graphics, animated videos and other features explaining the state's income, savings, spending and possible money gaps.

The website was brought about by the House Special Committee on Fiscal Policy, a group of Republicans and Democrats, and was put together by Information Insights assisted by the firm Agnew::Beck… The site doesn’t take sides on the issue... but many of its articles and videos suggest something needs to be done to bridge future budget gaps.
