Complaints mount over McKinley climbing fee

The comments are in and few, if any, are pleased that the National Park Service is charging ahead with a planned 150 percent increase in fees to attempt and climb Mount McKinley, at 20,320 feet the largest mountain in North America. Local climbers in particular are disgruntled with the new, $500 fee because according to them it's Outsiders who are responsible for the inordinate cost for direct support to climbers in Denali National Park.
