Like the Hangman of the Tarot, so was an unidentified 53-year-old Fairbanks man when firemen found him in a similarly compromising position.

On Wednesday, the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reported that the Fairbanks Fire Department was dispatched to "a tree next to the old Ice Park site on Phillips Field Road."

Upon arrival, the rescue crew found the man dangling upside down form one leg some 25 feet above the ground. The man did not appear hysterical or concerned. Quite the opposite, in fact. The News-Miner reported that he "was conscious, alert and uninjured."

The fire department estimated the man was upside down for 10 to 15 minutes before crew members dislodged him, according to a news release.

And what did this jester tell his rescuers? He simply said, "it was something he wanted to do."
