The 37th annual Girdwood Forest Fair is gearing up for this weekend.

The fair runs through Sunday June 8 in Girdwood, Alaska, located about 35 miles south of Anchorage. The Forest Fair features hand-made goods and crafts, art, live music, a beer garden, food carts and entertainment. It's a family-friendly event free to the public.

If you want to camp nearby, there is a $25 per-person, per-night charge. Parking is limited, but there will be a shuttle service available for fairgoers who park at the Alyeska Resort Day Lodge or other spots in the area.

Festivities kick off on Saturday July 2 at 10 a.m. with the Forest Fair Parade.

Fairgrounds will be open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free unless you choose to camp.
