Missing 25-year-old Anchorage woman found

Authorities report that missing Anchorage woman Candise Roark has been found.

The 25 year-old Roark was reported missing five days after she failed to check into Providence Hospital in Anchorage.

Roark was dropped off outside the hospital for treatment on Saturday Sept. 2. Since then, family and friends had not heard from her, and it appears she never checked in. A missing persons report was issued on Thursday. Later that evening, Roark was located.

Around 7:15 pm., police officers were dispatched to the Northway Mall in east Anchorage after mall security called authorities claiming they had Roark in custody. Roark claims that she ran out of minutes on her prepaid cell phone and couldn't contact family members. There was no word on why Roark never checked into the hospital, but she appeared to be unharmed and in no imminent danger.
