Photos: Day of the Dead celebration in Anchorage

The Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration started with a Salute to the Four Winds by Indra Arriga, and a parade began at the popup Spanish language books store and ended at Out North Contemporary Art House on 4th Avenue. The celebration continued with Mexican food, face painting, and altars set up by various groups and dance performances in Anchorage, AK on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018. Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican holiday to pray and remember friends and family members who have died.
