Anchorage Chinese language students celebrate Chinese New Year

Chinese language students and their families packed the theater at Anchorage’s Bartlett High on Friday to celebrate Chinese New Year, which in 2020 is ushering in the Year of the Rat.

The Anchorage School District’s Chinese immersion program began at Scenic Park Elementary in 2016, and that first batch of students is now in third grade.
