The last day you can donate from your Permanent Fund dividend check through the state's charitable Pick.Click.Give. program is Aug. 31.
The program is expected to bring in $2.5 million in charitable contributions for Alaska nonprofits this year from more than 25,000 individual donors, the Alaska Community Foundation said on Wednesday. ACF manages the Pick.Click.Give. program.
Alaskans are anticipating about $1,600 this year from the PFD, the annual payout to residents from the state's oil wealth fund.
Pick.Click.Give. was created by the Alaska Legislature in 2008 and was originally managed by the Rasmuson Foundation before the ACF took it over. People can donate through Pick.Click.Give. on the state's PFD website.
