2-car injury crash on Seward Highway near Girdwood causes delays, police say

A two-car crash with minor injuries on the Seward Highway near Girdwood is snarling traffic ahead of the Fourth of July holiday, Anchorage police said Wednesday afternoon.

The crash, which occurred near the intersection of the Seward Highway and Alyeska Highway, is expected to cause delays “for a brief period of time,” police said in an alert. The Girdwood Fire Department and Anchorage police are at the scene, police said, and injuries sustained by those involved in the crash were described as non-life-threatening.

Wednesday afternoon’s crash follows a collision involving four cars earlier in the day on the Seward Highway at Beluga Point, closer to Anchorage.
