7-year-old boy dies after being hit by car in Stebbins, troopers say

A 7-year-old boy who was riding a dirt bike early Saturday in Stebbins was struck by a car and later died, troopers said.

The child was struck around 1:10 a.m. by the vehicle and was brought to a local clinic for treatment, troopers wrote in an online statement. The boy died several hours later from the injuries.

Troopers said that drugs or alcohol were not contributing factors to the collision and foul play was not suspected. The investigation is ongoing.
