Anchorage police ask for help in locating man missing for 11 days

Anchorage police are asking for the public's help in locating a man missing for more than a week.

Jimmy Ekstrom, 44, was last seen leaving his aunt's house on the 3200 block of Penland Parkway on March 10, police said.

Ekstrom was upset over a recent breakup and left the house without his wallet or cellphone, police said. He left all of his other personal belongings behind, too, they said.

He has not contacted his family since he left.

Police described Ekstrom as 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call the police department's non-emergency line at 907-786-8900.
