No injuries in fire at downtown Anchorage bar

A fire broke out at McGinley's Pub in downtown Anchorage Thursday night, scorching the kitchen, according to the Anchorage Fire Department.

No one was injured in the fire, said Dein Bruce, an acting officer in the department.

A 911 caller reported the fire around 6 p.m., and firefighters had the fire under control 10 to 15 minutes later.

The extent of the damage was not immediately clear, Bruce said. The cause remains under investigation.

McGinley's is on the corner of Seventh Avenue and G Street.
