The inbound Glenn Highway at the Muldoon Road exit was partially closed due for hours Sunday afternoon due to “multiple car accidents” amid heavy snowfall, the Anchorage Police Department said Sunday afternoon.
“Drive with extra caution and please slow down,” the APD said in an early afternoon Nixle alert. The closed lane was reopened by 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police have not said whether any of the accidents involve injuries.
The National Weather Service says 4-8 inches of snow are expected through early Monday morning in the Anchorage Bowl.
