Anchorage firefighters knock down condo fire in Eagle River

The Anchorage Fire Department responded Friday evening to a report of a condo fire in Eagle River.

Assistant Chief Erich Scheunemann said no one was injured in the fire, which happened at a two-story, multi-family condo building on the 12000 block of Vista Ridge Loop, off the Old Glenn Highway.

The blaze was reported at 5:24 p.m. and under control by 5:56 p.m., he said.

Scheunemann said the fire department received reports that the unit where the fire started was unoccupied at the time. There were no requests for Red Cross assistance.
