A man crossing the street at the intersection of DeBarr Road and Boniface Parkway in Anchorage was struck by a pickup truck but not seriously hurt Monday morning, police say. The incident was reported around 8:30 a.m.
The collision briefly closed the northbound lane of Boniface, police said in an update.
The man was not in a crosswalk and appeared to be impaired, Anchorage Police Department spokesman MJ Thim said. He was transported to the hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening.
The driver of the pickup stopped and cooperated with officers, Thim said.
