An Anchorage police officer and two other people were hospitalized early Sunday after a collision on Mountain View Drive in East Anchorage, police said.
The officer, who wasn’t immediately identified, was eastbound in a patrol vehicle on Mountain View Drive with lights and siren on when it collided with an SUV, police said.
“A Ford Explorer was driving northbound on N Bliss when it pulled out onto Mountain View to make a turn; the officer braked but was unable to stop and T-boned the Explorer,” police wrote. There’s a stop sign on North Bliss and Mountain View, police said.
The officer and two occupants of the Explorer were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The collision was reported at 4:26 a.m., police said.
