A man crossing a street in Midtown Anchorage late Monday was struck by a motorcycle and declared dead at a hospital, police said.
The motorcyclist was injured but remained at the scene and was cooperating with officers, according to an online update.
The pedestrian was crossing the intersection of C Street and West 32nd Avenue just after 9 p.m. when he was struck by the motorcycle, police said.
His name was not released pending notification of relatives.
No further details were immediately provided by police.
Six pedestrians have died this year in Anchorage after they were hit by vehicles.
