Missing 7-year-old boy found, Anchorage police say

Anchorage police said that 7-year-old Musab “Nemo” Bom was located.

Anchorage police are asking for the public’s help finding a 7-year-old boy last seen Friday night in the Midtown area and may use a drone to help locate him.

Musab Bom was last seen at 635 W. 45th Ave. around 10:30 p.m., police wrote in an online alert. He likely left the area on a red and black small BMX-style bicycle.

Bom was previously reported missing early June 1 and located safely that afternoon. No additional information was immediately available about the situation Saturday.

The boy goes by the nickname “Nemo” and often befriends children and people he may not have met before, police said in an update Saturday afternoon. “We are asking the public to please check your houses and yards to ensure he is not there. We appreciate the help as we continue the search.”

Police described him as 4-foot-5 and 70 pounds and Black with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt with a Champion “C” logo, gray shorts, and red shoes.

Police asked anyone with information to call dispatch at 311 (option #1) or 907-786-8900 (press “0″).
